- The society was founded in 1993 by Gerald Morter and several local residents,
who decided that there should be a friendly and approachable place for magicians of all ages to come and learn magic.
- The first meeting was then held at The Angel pub where over 25 magicians
attended. The society felt that it needed a larger headquarters and as a result moved to The Asssembly House, until it had
to close due to fire damage.

- The society then relocated to Caister Hall on the north Norfolk coast,
but this lovely building was found to be unsuitable because it was too far away for the younger members to travel too.

| Our Regency Theatre seats 100 people. |
- Currently we are meeting at 47 St. Giles Street which has its own Lounge Bar and a Regency-Style Theatre. This room can
seat up to 100 people and it is thought we are the only society in England, apart from the Magic Circle Headquarters
in London, to have one.

- In the Christmas of 2000, the society held the "Festival of
Magic" at The Maddermarket Theatre in Norwich, where it raised over £150 for The Big C charity.
- From the 2nd to the 4th of January 2003, The N.D.M.C. presented a
series of magic shows called Sim-Sala-Bim for magic lovers in Norfolk. The shows were a huge success! Click here for Reviews and Pictures from the event!
- At Sim-Sala-Bim, a successful raffle helped raise £100 in
aid of Radio Broadland's Operation Santa Claus.
- In March of 2003, the society celebrated its 10th anniversary with a special
banquet dinner and cabaret with international stars of magic. The event was highly entertaining and was attended
by many members past and present.
